Our story

From paperless to AI.

Agent Machine began as The Paperless Agent in Austin, Texas. Co-founder Garry Creath found a way to run his entire real estate business from a mobile device, with no paper files. That work earned national recognition from Apple, Evernote, DocuSign, and Inman News.

Agents wanted to know how he did it. Garry and Chris Scott built The Paperless Agent to show them, and to hand them the tools to do it themselves.

Since then, our team has trained thousands of agents through paperless transactions, social media, video, online ads, CRM systems, and weekly live webcasts. We tested every tool in our own business before we taught it.

AI is the biggest shift we have seen. We use it every day to market listings, write content, follow up with clients, and show up in AI search. Agent Machine started as the name of our weekly AI newsletter. Today it is the name of everything we build: a system that handles the repetitive work so you spend your hours with clients.

What we believe

We run our business on four principles.

Can you put your name to it?

Everything we share, whether a prompt, tool, or resource, we ask ourselves this question. The standard we have for our work is that we need to be proud of what we make. If we’re not proud of it, we don’t ship it.

Are we having fun?

Work doesn’t always have to be a grind. We ask ourselves this question because if the answer is no, then something has to change. We try to pick the parts of the business we love to do, and automate the rest.

KISS, keep it simple sweetheart.

Business and technology can get complicated quickly. Everything runs smoother when you understand how it works. We strive to keep things simple, for ourselves and for our clients and members.

Build on strengths.

Whenever we attempt to build something on a weak foundation, things don’t work out. When you focus on where you have strengths, you tend to do really well with it. If nothing more, you enjoy the activity.

Garry has sold more than 2,000 homes over a 29-year career. He is the only real estate agent featured by Apple, Evernote, DocuSign, and Inman News, and his methods have helped tens of thousands of agents modernize their businesses.
