Real estate has been through a tough season. Years of low transaction counts and high interest rates have all of us feeling the pressure.

One bright spot has been AI. It promises to help you do more with your time, from prospecting to giving clients a better experience. At least, that’s the idea.

In practice, getting it to handle a real workflow can feel clunky, slow, or not worth the effort. You ask ChatGPT or Claude for a week of social posts, and a minute later you have them. Then the work moves somewhere else, and every post gets copied, pasted and scheduled by hand.

agents think AI could force them to change careers

That’s from a CYPHER Learning survey of real estate agents in September.

76%

say their companies don’t care about helping independent agents build AI skills

More than half

of those who got AI training called it broad rather than tailored to their daily work

The pressure is real, and the help hasn’t kept up. Agents are asking for AI training and tools built around the actual work: the listing presentation, the newsletter, the follow-up after an open house.

That’s what we built Agent Machine to be.

Why we built Agent Machine

Why we built Agent Machine

Why we built Agent Machine

Somewhere on your computer there’s probably a document full of prompts. You saved them from a webinar or a Facebook post, a few of them worked once, and the rest are waiting for a free afternoon that never comes.

We know that document well. For more than a decade, The Paperless Agent has helped tens of thousands of agents put new technology to work in their business.

And some of us never stopped selling real estate. Garry and his brother run a successful real estate business, so the team behind Agent Machine knows the job from the inside: the listing appointment, the slow month, the client who texts at 9 p.m.

When AI showed up, we did what we’ve always done with a new tool. We put it to work in our own business first, kept what earned its place, and let the rest go.

Agent Machine is where we share what survived: the AI workflows we actually use, what’s working for us, and which tools are worth paying for. It’s also where you can ask us directly when you hit an AI hurdle, and where members trade wins, help and feedback with each other.

Why “Agent Machine”

Picture your business on a Saturday you spend showing homes. The newsletter goes out on schedule, the week’s posts publish, and the follow-up from last weekend’s open house lands in your voice, with your name on it.

That’s the machine.

That’s the machine.

Set up right, AI handles the repeatable work behind your business, and your hours go to the parts only you can do, across the table from a buyer or a seller. We’ll show you how to build it, one workflow at a time.

Agent Machine opened in October, and the questions started the same day. Here are three from the first week, with the answers they got.

D

DeDe asked

Can AI help me post monthly market updates for the neighborhoods I serve?

Chris Scott

Chris answered

Yes, with two conditions. Your website has to let AI see it, because our audits keep turning up sites that block AI crawlers. And each neighborhood page has to answer the follow-up questions AI breaks a search into.

L

Lea asked

Could AI help me find and update my bios and profiles on dozens of sites? And is Claude or ChatGPT better for it?

Chris Scott

Chris answered

AI can do most of it, with one roadblock: it can’t see a bio on a site that blocks AI from crawling. His workaround is a short series of prompts, starting with one that finds every site where you have a bio and makes a list.

J

John asked

How do I connect Buffer to my paid ChatGPT account? The instructions seem to be missing a step.

AM

Our team answered

Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT’s settings first, then add Buffer as a custom connection.

Every answer comes from a real person: someone on our team, or a member who’s already solved the same problem. We don’t post AI-written replies.

Whichever level you start on, you’ll learn from people who use these tools in a real estate business every week, and you won’t sit on a question for long.
